Dual display...

I've got nothing exciting say. Just that I got a dual display. I'm not
trying to rhyme in any way. I'm just at work and it's a dull day.
Can't wait to go home and play.

My biggest gig to date...

So I play lead guitar in a hard rock band called Rehab Dolls and we're booked to play at the next W1-MMA Fight at the Robert Guertin area on Sat.Oct.10th. We'll be playing to a crowd of 4000 ppl!! Very excited for that.

Our band has also written the theme song for the show and will be aired at the beginning of every MMA fight and we'll be getting royalties each time the song is played at the fight or on TV.

The fight will also be aired on the Fight Network and the Score Channel and apparently there's a forcasted PPV audience of 8 million viewers. Such an awesome opportunity for us. I just had to share. :o)

Well sorta... Meet Bobo. We're doing a little test trial with him. My
mom's neighbour can't care for him anymore so we're giving it a shot.
Not quite sure what I've gotten myself into but he's damn cute and
loves to cuddle with Asha. He reminds me of an Ewok.

Kiss and tell...

So I went to KISS party last weekend. My buddy warned me that the host was a huge KISS fan. I didn't think anything of it until I got to his place. Wall to wall KISS paraphernalia. I have never seen anything like it before. His place was like the official KISS museum. He had every toy, comic book, doll, posters, lava lamps, bowling balls, platform boots, guitars. You name it, he's got it. Very cool thing to see.

Jojo Mayer rules!!!!

Went to a Jojo Mayer drum clinic last night. Ended up having drinks
with him at James Street Pub. We were totally star-struck!!

A weekend in Toronto does a body good...

Had an awesome time this past weekend with my boys in TO. Had a photoshoot with an awesome photographer Mario Miotti for one of the bands I play in called Rehab Dolls. Got my fix of metal music at Sneaky Dee's. Saw a pretty cool band called Diemonds. The singer was quite the hottie metal chick. It was interesting to see kids in their early 20's dressed up in total mid-80's rocker wear. The following night we ended up at the Devil's Martini. I found it neat and funny that strangers were taking pictures of us and even asking to have their pictures taken with us. Definitely got a kick outta that. One of the highlights was back at my buddies place. We watched an Alice In Chains interview and just lost it when the bass player used the word "Hootenanny". That word became the word of the weekend...

Wake up call...

Had a late night with the boys. Ended up crashing at my bud's place
and woke up just now to a gynormous great dane nammed Diesel. He's
just standing there staring at me like he's about to eat me.

Friday rant...

Ok, just a few things I feel like pointing out today. I'm in a very opinionated mood for some reason so here it goes in point form.

1. Fully abled ppl needing to use the disabled persons auto door opener. Are you so friggin lazy you can't open a friggin door with the strength of your own arm?
2. Ppl who stand on escalators. Is there a sign on the escalator that says "walking up or down escalators is gravely forbidden"? God ppl are lazy!!
3. Slow walkers. Why are you always walking in front of me?? MOVE!!!

Ok.. Just needed to get that off my chest. Time to enjoy the nice weather!!!

Biker Chick...

Got my little girl her first bike. You should have seen the look on
her face when she first saw it. So priceless. She's been biking up and
down the street telling strangers to check out her new bike. Too cute.

Just got my tickets to the Crystal Method and I'm friggin stoked!!!
These guys have been a huge inspiration for my band Lovenbodyparts. So
glad to be going with my bandmate and the wives. It's gonna be a
killer rocktronic show.

Lately...

I wake up, drink a coffee, eat a bowl of multi-grain cheerios, kiss my little girl and wife good bye, head to work, stare at code for 7.5 hours, come home, make dinner, entertain my little girl, get her to bed, play guitar or watch an episode of 24 or Lost, go to bed...

I'm in my cubicle gawking out my window and soaking in some rays. It's
gorgeous outside. I'm one of those people that are prone to S.A.D. So
this weather is very refreshing to my state of mind.

In the groove...

Just spent the past couple of hours down in the dungeon aka the
studio. I was working on a killer track for my band Lovenbodyparts.
The song was actually written in 1996. I found the lyrics recently and
decided to revamp the song. It's called Cyberfriend. Can't really tell
the Internet world what the song is about but I can tell you right now
it's not about Internet dating. Anyway, I'm quite proud of how it's
sounding so far. I'm finally getting back into my songwriting groove
and it feels amazing. Now I just need to get my ass back on stage
where it belongs!

That's all I got for you today. Time to hit the sack and dream about
Charlize Theron. Goodnight.

Another bus rant...

So it's rush hour. I'm on a packed bus and some asshole is taking up
two seats. It's not even some punk ass kid. It's a grown up business
man. He clearly sees that the bus is full but refuses to move over for
anyone. I wish I could take a picture of it but there are ppl in front
of me. Good thing I pick my battles wisely otherwise I'd hurl my boot
at him. Dumbass.

Another chin update...

This time with eyes included. As you may have guessed, it's another
uneventful day in Radji-Land. The evening looks to be promising
however. My buddy Kenneth is coming over with his bass and we are
starting to track some music for our new project called Pulsera. I
might just post an audio clip later for you to hear. That is, if we
come up with anything half decent.

Friday morning bus ride...

Just a little Friday morning rant. I'm on an overcrowded bus right
now. Did I ever mention how much I hate taking the bus? People either
smell of B.O. or of an overdose of cologne or perfume. Some only leave
you the edge of the seat so your basically sitting on the crack of
your ass. Argh! If only it were a sunny day today.

Naked Chin

Haven't posted in a few days so I figured show off my chin. I've had a
goatee for the past five years up until a few days ago. Not sure what
possessd me to shave it off. I feel naked without it so I'm growing it
back.

Earth Hour

We're now 6 minutes into Earth Hour and all is well. It's just my
daughter, my wife, my dog, myself and a candle. Oh and my iPhone too.

Just had yummy sushi at Miga. I now feel complete and fufilled. Life
can now continue and sustain. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!

It's a beautiful Friday afternoon and it feels great to be in full health again. Had a pretty hectic week a work seeing as I missed most of last week. Lotsa catching up to do but I think I'm finally all caught up! Well actually that reminds me. Got another task pending... BRB!

Ok I'm back! Well actually, I'm heading home. Done for the day. As Fred Flintstone would say "YAAABAADAABAADOO!!!!". I've got a lovely evening planned with my wife. Beer and Sushi. Fook Yah!!!!!

Desktop makeover...

For some odd reason, perhaps pure boredom, I decided to give my desktop a facelift last night. Spent a good 2 hours tweaking Windows Vista and came up with this. Was inspired from an article posted on lifehacker.com. Great site. Check it out when you can.

Rising from the dead...

No it's not Easter yet (although I'll probably go to hell for making the comparison) but I'm finally recovering from that damn flu bug. This past week has been such a waste. I was pretty much lying down 24/7. Hours would seem like days. The solitude was slowly driving me insane. I haven't been able to give kisses to my little girl all week. Been sleeping in the spare bedroom so I wouldn't disturb my wife. Mind you, sleep consisted of shut-eye for about 1-2 hours at a time. Wake up, pop some pills and spend an hour trying to fall back asleep. Oh and I can't forget the shivering and cold sweats throughout the night. Lovely...

Anyway, those nights are over with. I think ppl who have a cold tend to say they have the flu too easily. They need to realize that a cold will make you feel uncomfortable for a few days whereas a flu will seriously knock your ass to the ground. This week made me realize that I hadn't had the flu in a couple of years. I now have a greater respect for that microscopic monster.

On a positive note, I got to watch too much Regis & Kelly, Ellen Degeneres, Family Feud and of course Oprah. I can't wait to get back to work!!!!!!!!!!!

Btw, I noticed I have a few "followers". Cool!

Infected...

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I've been stricken with the worst flu ever. I can't remember the last time I was ill like this. I had a fever of 103.5 the other night. Haven't slept much these past 2 days. Been doped up on flu meds and good ole neocitran. It's been three days now and I still feel like a bag of shit. So no picture for today's post. I look like death at the moment. Time for me to go lie down again.

Had some friends from Toronto visiting this weekend. It was my bud's 40th bday so we went to Metal Night at James Street Pub. The whole crew came out. So great to see everyone all together again. Those moments are too few and far between.

So it looks like my little feathered friend has decided to set up shop
on our street. I made a WTF call to the humane society and aparently
it's now considered normal to see them in urban neighbourhoods.
